Karien Bennett's class about manners for young children was excellent. I attended one of her classes last year with our Brownie Troop 5039. All eight of our young girls found her truly captivating, she has an amazing ability of keeping the girls attention, through her soft-spoken tone and her passion for the subject being taught.
I applaud Mrs. Bennett for her extraordinary efforts in teaching our children a subject matter that in today's society is not being recognized as necessary.
The extraordinary way in which she explained table manners, correct usage of one's table napkin, what to do if an item fell on the floor and how to show one's gratitude to the hostess made it easy for our girls to understand. I'm sure the other adult in the room also learned a thing or two as I did.
Leadership is highly regarded by Girl Scouts and based on my own observations I truly believe that Mrs. Bennett has the leadership style necessary to achieve great results with children in any subject.
With best wishes and gratitude for a brilliant class on manners.
