Robert Filley was born and raised in San Diego, has been married for 13 years, and is the proud father of 4 children. Robert joined the San Diego Police Department in 1987. After completing the academy, he was assigned as a patrol officer for 7 years and involved himself in several community projects.

Robert then accepted a position as a D.A.R.E. instructor with the Juvenile Investigation Team, where he taught the drug education program at several elementary schools. In this role, Robert reached over 10,000 students.

Robert was promoted to Community Relations Officer, where he worked closely with community councils and consulted with several companies on personal protection and crime prevention. Although he loved this position, he missed working with the children, and made the decision to transfer back into the schools. In his current role, Robert works as the School Resource Officer for the San Dieguito Union High School District, to include Torrey Pines High School, Canyon Crest Academy, and Carmel Valley Middle School.

Robert is entering his 20th year as a police officer and he loves every minute of it. He has been honored to receive several hundred commendations from citizens and over twenty Commanding Officer Citations from the Police Department for solving crimes working with juveniles.

The Club 4 Me is honored to have Robert on our team of presenters. He understands how to connect with children, and teach them in a positive and empowering manner. He is also passionate about what he does, and committed to making the community a better place for all children.
